To our friends and clients,

As we move forward,  we continue to reach out to several companies and local agencies however, there are only very few places which have encountered such devastation, therefore information is limited. I have  attached to this email information for clean up from the California Air Resources Board, San Diego California Landscape Contractors Association.

I have also attached links to stories published regarding clean up in conjunction with other departments such as the E.P.A. and local departments as well as other stories which include interviews with leading Doctors and staff of the environmental health.

I ask that your take an opportunity and read some of these and do your own research. While the fires may be done and we are left with the clean up of this tragedy, I ask you that your take care in the handling of the damage and fall out caused, and taking care of yourself and your loved ones.

We have reached out to Orenda Technologies a leading water treatment company which has recommended the following be used in the clean up of pool / spa water:

      1. Due to the carbon fall out from the fires they have recommended that a Catylitic Enzyme Water                              Cleaner be used.  This enzyme will effectively break down and digest  non-living organic contaminants, and            directly address carbon-based contamination.

      2. Increase chlorine levels to address bacteria growth.

      3. The other issue is the possible fall out from the fire retardant used. While the toxicity is low it is still an issue            in aquatic waters as it contains a phospho base and provides a perfect element for algae growth. So we will            be addressing this issue by inducing a  concentrated phosphate control product

      4. The other part of a fire that consumes industrial and residential property is the metal particle fall out that may            occur and to deal with it we will addressing that by inducing a dosage metal remover to the water.

We are not saying the we are going to make your pool water perfect, but we are going to try very hard and should you, after having your pool water tested by a certified lab, want to dispose of the water it will NOT be as harmful as it is now, and in lieu of being handled as possible hazardous waste, it is possible that it may be dealt with as gray water, therefore making it easier to handle and dispose of.

Again, we are doing the best we can and will be reaching out to you as we learn more please take the time and peruse the information below.
